SIX BULLETS - PRIVACY NOTICE Last updated: 2026-10-23 Six Bullets is a small independent browser game, made and run by one developer. This notice says what the game keeps about you, why, for how long, and how to have it deleted. Questions: contact@playsixbullets.com WHAT THE GAME KEEPS - Your account: the username you chose and your password, stored only as a salted hash (scrypt). Your recovery code is stored only as a hash too. Guests have no username or password. - Your character: its name, its looks, its money and things, its progress, achievements and statistics, how long it played each day and when it was last in the game. - Sessions: a random token keeps you signed in on your browser. The server keeps only its hash. - Chat: what you write in the chat is kept for 14 days, so that reports can be looked into. - Reports and moderation: a report keeps who sent it, who it's about, why and the reported player's last lines of chat, until it's closed and for 180 days after. What a moderator does to an account (a warning, a mute, a kick, a ban) is written down and kept for 12 months. - Blocks: the players you've blocked, until you unblock them. - The ledger: every change of in-game money and things, to find and undo cheating. It's kept under the character's number only, also after an account is deleted. WHAT THE GAME DOESN'T KEEP - No e-mail address, real name, phone number or payment details: the game never asks for them. - No IP addresses are written down. The game server uses your address only in memory, to slow down mass sign-ups and password guessing (and to keep out an address banned for cheating while the server runs), and forgets it when the server restarts. The web server keeps no access log of the game. - No cookies, no advertising, no analytics or tracking by other companies. The fonts and everything else come from the game's own server. - In your browser (local storage) the game keeps your session token, your settings and the name you typed. Signing out, or clearing the site's data, removes them. WHAT IT'S USED FOR Only to run the game: to keep your progress, to let other players see your character and your chat, and to keep the economy fair and the chat safe. Nothing is sold or given to anyone. WHO SEES WHAT Other players see your character's name, its looks, what you write in the chat and your statistics. The weekly newspaper, The Dry Fork Gazette, may name your character and what it did that week. Only the developer sees the rest. HOW LONG Guests who haven't played for 60 days are deleted with their characters. Accounts are kept until you delete them. Copies of the database (backups) are kept for 14 days, so what you delete is gone from them within 14 days too. DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT In the game: Tab, then Options, then "Delete my account". It deletes your account, your character and everything of it at once (an account asks for its password first). You can also ask by writing to contact@playsixbullets.com. YOUR RIGHTS You can ask for a copy of what the game keeps about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it's used, by writing to contact@playsixbullets.com. If you're not happy with the answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live. AGE You must be 14 or older to play Six Bullets.
